I once knew someone who kept a list of songs he considered the prettiest. (”Pink Moon” was one example he gave me.) While my tendency to eschew playlists is well documented, creating a mental catalog of pretty songs struck me as a worthwhile endeavor somehow.

It requires a Herculean effort to live in Boston for any significant period of time and *not* find yourself—eventually—at a Sox game. Whether or not you’re from Boston … whether or not you like baseball … you inexplicably want to go, so you go.
