Molly, aka Mol, aka Puddles, aka Mollah Wollah, aka Mrs. Peebody, aka Sweet Pea
November 13, 1993–June 29, 2008
She was loved greatly. She returned that love ten-fold.
Oh, honey. I’m so sorry. I was just reminiscing with friends about my Rosie, who I was blessed with for only two months, and I’ve been thinking about how hard it was to say goodbye. She was a good dog, a great dog, and returned my love at least 10-fold. Virtual hugs to Molly, and to you.
Thanks so much, guys. As much as I knew this day would come (and that it would hurt like hell), the size of the void left by my little 8-pound powder puff is still a bit of a shock.
@vieve: Thanks for sharing your story. (My other little girl is also named Rosie.) It helps to be reminded that I’m not the only one to have gone through this. Sadly, it’s part of the otherwise joyous experience of having pets.
@ulmedas: Rose is doing okay. She now follows me from room to room and sleeps on Molly’s old bed next to me at night. It’s hard to say if she’s sad herself or worried about me and my intermittent crying jags. I’m sure some pizza would make things better … doesn’t it always? (Funny, I was telling our mutual friend the Uncle Pizza story just yesterday.)
Awwww. So sorry. :(

I’m sorry, sis.
:’(
Is rosie ok?
They have been such close companions these last few years.
I’ll bring her some pizza when I come. Maybe that will help console her.

K — I’m sorry. We lost Flash, the Bassett Hound about a year ago. He was 12…I get it.
