I make a habit of adding those who add me to their blogroll to my blogroll. It’s just good practice. Also, I find that the people who think my whacked way of thinking is at all worth their time are similarly whacked and, thus, worth mine.
A pretty cool chica from Chi town added me recently. I haven’t had a chance to go back and read through her archives yet, but she loves Prince and tattoos, so obviously she’s all kindsa rad. I’m meme-ifying one of her recent posts, wherein she answers a bunch of questions submitted by her readers. Check out her blog to see her answers, read her funny musings and find out how she coped with turning 30 not too long ago.
1. If you could choose a super power, what would it be?
To acquire new super powers at will. Duh.
2. Was there ever another education or career path you considered seriously? If so, what and why?
I considered majoring in math. I also considered majoring in Spanish. I never for a second, however, considered being anything other than an over-paid, disaffected cube monkey.
3. Which book made you cry, which movie made you laugh, and which song made you smile?
The last book I recall making me cry was The Left Hand of Darkness, by Ursula LeGuin. I cry without a whole lot of provocation, though, so chances are pretty slim that the last time I cried while holding a book was in 1999.
I laugh even more easily than I cry, so this is a tough one. The first movie that comes to mind for consistency of laughter-inducing antics is Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. It’s also educational … it taught millions of young women around the globe what a Dirty Sanchez is. Thank you, Vince Vaughn.
Hmm … I’m not sure I can recall a song making me smile. (This one is really taxing my thinky parts.) Okay, there have maybe been times a song has made me remember something pleasant and the memory has made me smile, but I’m not tellin y’all. Next you’re gonna want my ATM PIN. C’mon now!
4. How long have you been with your boyfriend?
If by “boyfriend” you mean my big, black dildo, we’ve been together for about two years now. He’s really into me. (STFU! Puns are too funny.)
5. When did you first hear Prince?
I’m sure I heard “Little Red Corvette” first, but I don’t remember getting crazy for Prince until Purple Rain came out. I was in sixth grade. I went in halvsies on the album with my bff, Robert, and we both got grounded for listening to “Darling Nikki” after our mothers told us not to. (That’s right. Bad to the bone, baby.)
6. If you could go anywhere in the world and not worry about cost, where would you go and how long would you stay?
I’d go to Spain and Morocco, and I’d stay until I got bored or became fluent in Spanish and/or Arabic … whichever came first.
7. What’s your favorite city that you’ve lived in and why?
Boston, but of course. It ain’t much, but it’s all mine.
8. Why do you like hamsters and guinea pigs?
If by “hamsters and guinea pigs” you mean peanut butter and cherry jelly sandwiches, I think the answer is perfectly self-evident. Peanut butter = yummy. Cherry jelly = super yummy. ’Nuf said.
9. Are you and M ever going to get married? Do you even want to get married?
I think comebacknikki would have something to say about me marrying her M, so, no, I don’t see that happening. I’m not anti-marriage, however. When the right initialized pseudonym comes along, I’ll saddle up again.
10. How many piercings and tattoos do you have now?
I’ve got six piercings and three tattoos. Gosh, that sounds like a lot. The piercing number may soon be going up, too. I’ll keep you posted.
Okay, Em Em, you’re it.
UPDATE: Oh, wait! Val, you’re it too. Duuuuuuude!!!

#9: I’m sure M wouldn’t be too upset over the thought of having two wives. :P
Umm…speaking of tmi…and I wonder, does the fact that it’s black signify any sort of subconscious desires?
