What a sad, sad day.

One Response to “Dead Guys I Like, Part 2”

I’ve actually heard of this guy. Not to say that hardly any one has heard of him but to say that this grown up country boy has heard of him.

Our Egyption interpreter “George” talked about him one day when we had nothing better to do. He made him sound very interesting and I’d forgot about it till now. “George” was always very interesting himself. Ever heard an Egyption man speak english with a french accent? Even his wife teased him about that. Maybe I should look for some translations of Naguib’s writing. I’ll bet if I read them he’ll sound like “George” in my head.

By the way, I asked “George” once what his real name was. I didn’t like that we called him by some nickname. He said to just call him George. All the interpreters took fake names for security reasons. I hate that they had to do that.
